The threat of stormy weather forced the postponement of the Area AAA’s baseball game Thursday against Edmond Santa Fe at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

The Area AAA and Enid AAA teams will compete in the Midwest All-Star College Preview, beginning Saturday in Enid.

The showcase tournament, which features about 60 players from around the state, is sponsored by the Northern Oklahoma College Enid baseball program.

Five games will be played Saturday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark, beginning at 1 p.m.

Two games will be played Saturday at NOC Enid’s Failing Park. The Area AAA team will play at 5 p.m., while the Enid AAA team plays at 7.

On Sunday, four games will be played at David Allen Memorial Ballpark, beginning at 10 a.m. Three games will be played at Failing Park, beginning at 10 a.m. The Area AAA plays at noon, while the Enid AAA plays at 2 p.m.

Players in the eight-team, round-robin tournament come from all over Oklahoma.

NOC Enid assistant coach Jeremy Hise said about 30 players have signed with college programs in the first four years of the event.

Three former NOC Enid players, Chance Jeffery, Roland Fanning and Jon Kissinger, will be coaching teams in the tournament.
