Enid boosters to meet
Enid Quarterback Club will meet at 7 tonight at Honigsberg Fieldhouse. The club will discuss plans for Friday's season-opener against Choctaw.
Pacers roll past Guthrie
Enid Pacers banged out 12 hits en route to a 13-0 win over Guthrie in high school softball action on Tuesday.
Megan Mayberry, Kelsie Pitts and Sydni Jones each had two hits. Jones had a homer and two RBI, while Mayberry, Pitts, Jenna Schroeder, Sarah Ballew and Magdalena Mona each had doubles.
Sara Harrison was the winning pitcher, allowing two hits with five strikeouts.
The Enid junior varsity won 15-0.
Enid, 8-2, hosts Del City in a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Meadowlake Park.
Meet the Tigers on Thursday
Timberlake High School football program will introduce the players and cheerleaders at 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school field. The cross country and softball teams also will be introduced.
Hot dogs and chips will be served. Donations will be accepted.
Students in grades 5-8 should bring chips. Students in grades 9-12 should bring a 12-pack of pop.
A booster club meeting will follow the event.
EHS football tickets on sale
Enid High reserved season football tickets are on sale at the EHS athletics office. Cost is $30. Tickets will be available Friday before the Enid-Choctaw game. E-Club cards, which will be good for all sports, are on sale for $60.
Garber boosters to have event
Garber Sports Booster Club will hold a "Meet the Wolverines'' cookout, honoring the Wolverine football and softball teams as well as the cheerleaders and coaches, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Garber Park. Following the meal, there will be a booster club meeting to elect new officers for the 2005-06 school year and discuss fund-raisers, dues collections, sports banquet and ask for team snacks volunteers.

Pioneer All-Sports Boosters will hold a pancake fund-raiser at McDonald's on Maine and Van Buren 5:30 to 7 tonight. For more information, contact Teresa Buckles at 242-3806.
Tennis league slated in Enid
Entries are being accepted for Enid Tennis Association's Adult Team Tennis League.
Intermediate B League will play at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 13. Intermediate B Doubles Only League will play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 7. Advanced League will play at 7 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Sept. 8. Each team will consist of two men and women. Players may enter either as a team or as individuals and be placed on a team.
