Northern Oklahoma College Enid has hired Megan Hill to lead the Jets’ softball program.

Hill comes to NOC Enid from El Dorado High School in Kansas, where she coached softball and taught physical education.

“I am extremely grateful for Jeremy Hise giving me this opportunity and very excited to be joining the NOC family,” she said. “I can’t wait to get on campus and meet the team.”

Hill has big aspirations for the Jets’ program.

“My vision for the program is hard work, dedication, discipline and family,” she said. “Our goal will be to put NOC Enid softball back on the map and compete at a very high level. I think a trip to nationals is a goal that can be reached if everyone is on board with our vision.”

NOC Athletic Director Jeremy Hise is excited about Hill leading the Jets program.

“Megan has demonstrated an outstanding ability as a player, a coach, and more importantly as a person,” Hise said. “She brings a tremendous amount of knowledge about the game and shared a great vision for the future of our program. I am excited to add Megan to the Northern family.”

Hill played collegiate softball at Emporia State University where she was a two time All-American for the Hornets reaching the national championship game in 2006.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in physical & health education from Emporia State in 2007 and later her master’s degree in 2013. Hill was inducted into the Emporia State Hall of Honor in 2018.

After college, Hill coached high school softball in the Wichita area and in 2011, started the Kansas Blue Sox organization. The softball organization consists of seven to 10 teams that compete in high level tournaments to assist athletes in earning college scholarships. The Blue Sox have over 50 former players that have received college scholarships.

Hill, a native of Derby, Kan., was named the AVCTL-DIV 3 coach of the year in 2017 while at El Dorado High School.

The Jets were 19-34 this past season.
