3 Enid swimmers get state cuts at recent dual

Anna Megli, Ruth Megli and Rebecca Holthoff added state qualifying times at Enid’s swim dual with Owasso, Putnam City West, Oklahoma Bible Academy and Kingfisher Thursday at the Denny Price Family YMCA pool.

Anna Megli (1 minute, 6.9 seconds) and Holthoff (1:09.93) had state cuts in the 100-yard backstroke, while Ruth Megli had a state cut in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.57).

Anna Megli has qualified in eight different events. Ruth Megli has qualified in four. It was Holthoff’s first individual state cut.

The boys had no new state cuts.

The girls had 82 points compared to 50 for Owasso, 15 for Putnam City West and 10 for Kingfisher.

The boys had 93 points to 46 for Owasso, eight for Putnam City West, seven for OBA and three for Kingfisher.
