Enid’s swim teams, which had five new state qualifying times at a meet Tuesday in Oklahoma City, will be back in the pool today for a 5:30 p.m. meet with Putnam City North at Denny Price Family YMCA.

Putnam City North has an opposite makeup of EHS. The Lady Panthers have a large number of girls and a small number of boys, according to EHS coach Susan Glasgow.

“The few boys they have are pretty good,’’ she said. “Their girls are some pretty fast times, so we’ll have some good competition. When you have someone on the bubble of making a state cut, you want to have somebody next to them that will push them.’’

Anna Megli, who has six state qualifying times, will try to add two more in the 50 and 500 freestyle events. Megan Holthoff, who has four state cuts, will go in the 100 butterfly and 200 IM.

Randy Hathoot is close to state cuts in the 50 and 100 frees.

Returning letterwoman Candice Woodward reported to the Pacers Wednesday after serving as a football manager.

Woodward will be battling on a spot on the girls relays with Kiersten Pitts and Kristina Earl.

Four new boys reported to the team Wednesday.
