A portrait party is set this weekend, and proceeds benefit Buggin’ Out For Kids, which helps Children’s Miracle Network and local children who are battling cancer and their families.
The portrait party by Stacy Lee Photography is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Northern Oklahoma College Enid. To book a session, call 233-6303 and leave a name, phone number and session time preference.
For $39, participants receive a 15-minute photo session — as many poses as time allows — and a CD with the images and a photo release for professional printing. The CD and release will be mailed around June 28. Picture packages also are available for purchase.
Drew and Kelly Hartling organized Buggin’ Out For Kids and have dedicated much time and effort to the foundation. When they married in March 2002, they asked for donations to the foundation in lieu of gifts.
Drew Hartling is the uncle of the late Jayla Tuck, who died of leukemia at age 4. Tuck died from complications of a bone marrow transplant. She was diagnosed with leukemia just months before her March 2001 death.
The Buggin’ Out For Kids Poker Run is held annually. They also sponsor concerts and other fundraisers to benefit the foundation
Money raised by the Hartlings and Tuck’s family has been put to use with a renovation of a children’s playroom in a Washington, D.C., hospital. The foundation also supplies toys to hospitals treating cancer-stricken children.
