9/11 occurred. We knew who was responsible. We, that is most Americans, were glad that President Bush declared war to eliminate this kind of action against us.

We partially succeeded when we largely destroyed the Taliban in Afghanistan and toppled Saddam Hussein in Iraq. But we underestimated our real enemy, the al-Qaida, who with the aid of the radical Wahabi Moslems, have found an effective type of guerrilla warfare that we, so far, are unable to stop. We are losing more of our dedicated volunteer service personnel each day. Because of about three years of consistent, continuous, daily negative news, the American public is discouraged and ready to quit, cut our losses and leave.

Now you’re a soldier who daily risks his life for our country and the home front says “Quit!” How do you feel? Certainly unsupported! A recent Wall St. Journal editorial says: We have talked ourselves into defeat. This is the news media’s fault.

Yes, President Bush made critical errors while thinking he was following the best strategy to win. Now the Democratic Party and some Republicans desire to get out as quickly as possible. They’ll probably prevail, and we will withdraw. The Democrats who now have control of Congress have proposed no winning strategy! Iraq will descend into a clear cut civil war. We wash our hands.

When our enemy is ready, he’ll be here in the USA. We then fight this guerrilla war here on our American soil. We hope and pray that we can win it. With God’s aid, we shall but we will experience very sad times before we do.
