James Neal’s Dec. 18, 2020, “Reflections with Purpose” is such a poorly written column (“The predictable hypocrisy of pro-life anti-maskers”), I’m embarrassed to comment on it.
Not because I disagree. Because it bounces around from every political view and it never backs up any opinion. From capital punishment compared to abortion. Government and health care. The Holocaust. Creating a compassionate society while fueling the flames of disagreement. Immigrants in cages. Vaccinations. Pastors contributing to peoples death all in the name of denying his science.
I know this stuff sells papers, but at least back up your opinions with some stats and limit the article to a few topics — not every talking point on TV.
And “do not speak to me of God.” How arrogant is that? If you want to create compassion, learn to listen to people who don’t always agree with you.
This is written like a mad teenager on Twitter.
