Ringwood residents hurt in accident

MOORELAND — Two Ringwood residents were injured Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle accident near Mooreland in Woodward County.

Ronna Mae Vance, 70, was flown by Air Evac to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Roderick Allen Vance, 66, was taken to Alliance Health Woodward, then flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.

The accident happened at 4:45 a.m. on U.S. 412 about 31 feet north of Mooreland city limits.

According to the report, Ronna Vance was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt when she fell asleep, went off the road to the left and hit a tree.

Both were wearing their seat belts, according to the report.
