ENID, Okla. — Enid Public Schools has announced its building level teachers of the year for this school year.

One of the 17 teachers named from the district's 17 sites will be named district Teacher of the Year during the annual EPS Foundation Education Celebration on Dec. 11 at Prairie View Elementary School. The event is 5-6 p.m.

A Support Professional of the Year also will be named at the celebration, which will be broadcast live on EPStv, Suddenlink channel 19.

“It is an honor to work with such excellent educators,” Superintendent Darrell Floyd said. “These teachers truly follow our district motto of ‘Excellence for ALL’ and model that in the classroom every day.”

The building level teachers honored are: Mollie Lorenz-Robbins, pre-K, Carver Early Childhood Center; Sonja Jackson, music, Adams Elementary School; Sandra Lippard, pre-K, Coolidge Elementary School; Sue Dell, second grade, Eisenhower Elementary School; Katie Killam, kindergarten, Garfield Elementary School: Ashley Martin, kindergarten, Glenwood Elementary School; Bettina Tidenberg, fifth grade, Hayes Elementary School; Angela Warbington, third grade, Hoover Elementary School; Shannon Lowe, fourth grade, McKinley Elementary School; Kara Cranston, kindergarten, Monroe Elementary School; Cathy Rose, pre-K, Prairie View Elementary School; Ana Casillas, third grade, Taft Elementary School; Erik Thomas, leadership, Emerson Middle School; Jeff Funk, seventh-grade science, Longfellow Middle School; Dr. Aaron Lusby, eighth-grade science, Waller Middle School; Brenda Neidigk, history/English, Enid High School; and Kelli Irvin, English, Lincoln Academy.
