Tonkawa's Full Moon Concert to feature pieces from 'The Great American Songbook'

TONKAWA, Okla. — Hillcrest Ensemble will perform “The Great American Songbook” for Tonkawa’s latest Full Moon Concert set for 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 2019, at Tonkawa Centennial Park, 301 E. Grand.

The eight-piece ensemble has brass, woodwind, strings, drums and vocals belting out American standards like “Blue Moon,” “Heart and Soul,” “Georgia on my Mind,” “All of Me,” “In the Mood,” “On the Sunny Side of the Street” and others, according to a release from the North Central Oklahoma Arts Council.

The concert is free and open to the public, but permanent seating is limited and attendees are welcome to bring their own seating and snacks, according to the release. Restrooms are available in the near by Santa Fe Depot.
