CARRIER, Okla. — Oklahoma 45 East will close near Carrier in Garfield County Tuesday through Thursday for railroad work, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Detour signs will be in place ahead of the work, which is about a mile east of Oklahoma 132 near Carrier at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway crossing. Drivers should plan extra travel time.

In Kay County, southbound I-35 will be one lane from the rest area at mile marker 226 to Oklahoma 11 (mm 222) at Blackwell through January for bridge work over Doe Creek. Motorists are advised to expect lane shifts, plan for delays and use caution. Speed limit will be reduced.
