ENID, Okla. — Enid City Commissioner Ben Ezzell announced he is filing to retain his Ward 3 seat.
“I love Enid,” Ezzell said. “We live in a small community with big dreams and boundless potential. During my first term on the commission, we have seen huge improvements to the parks and trails, investment in roads and bridges, economic growth and the beginning of a pipeline to Kaw Lake that will provide a reliable water supply to Enid for generations to come.”
Dr. David Vanhooser, currently Enid city commissioner for Ward 6, announced he is filing for re-election.
Although much is accomplished, Ezzell said, there is always more work to do.
“I am ready and willing to continue being a zealous advocate for our community,” he said.
“This is an exciting time for Enid; we are reaping the benefits of the hard work done by so many in our community. I look forward to continuing to serve Ward 3 and the entire city of Enid to the best of my ability.”
The regular general municipal election is set for Feb. 14, 2017. Filing will be from 8 a.m. Dec. 5 through 5 p.m. Dec. 7.
Seats up for election are Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward 6.
