Enid Police Department officers arrested a man Thursday night at a residence on South Lincoln following a more than two-hour stand off with police.

SWAT team members made radio announcements to Ivan Quiroz after 6:45 p.m. when officers arrived at 434 S. Lincoln. The announcements advised Quiroz there was a warrant for his arrest and to search the residence.

SWAT team members breached the residence after more than a half hour of ordering Quiroz to exit the residence with his hands empty and up in the air. SWAT team members searched the residence with the assistance of a K-9 officer. Quiroz was found at about 9:15 p.m. hiding in the attic of the residence.

He was arrested on the warrants for knowingly concealing stolen property and compound a crime, both felonies.

Neighbors who watched police during the standoff thanked officers following Quiroz’s arrest.
