ENID, Okla. — United Supermarket at 4110 W. Garriott in Enid is scheduled to close at the end of the year, according to a corporate email and store employees.

The News & Eagle reached out to HAC Inc., the parent company for United Supermarket, last week but did not receive any answer to questions about the store possibly closing.

On Friday, an email from the account of Dave Katz, HAC account supervisor, indicated the Enid location "will be closing at the end of December." Employees confirmed the end-of-December closure at the store.

HAC also has two United locations in Woodward — part of the company's holdings of 17 United Supermarket locations in Oklahoma, including the one in Enid, according to the company website.

Other brands operated by HAC in Oklahoma include 29 Homeland, two Country Mart and 13 Cash Saver stores, including two Cash Savers in Enid, according to the website.

The two Enid Cash Savers, at 1010 W. Willow and 531 E. Broadway, formerly were branded as United Supermarket locations.

Other brands under HAC's corporate holdings include Super Save, Piggly Wiggly and Food World.

HAC Inc. was not immediately available for comment on this story.
