Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Kingfisher County on Saturday afternoon.
Debra Kay Wagner, 56, of Okarche, was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher, and then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, where she was admitted in stable condition with a leg injury, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Her passenger, Scott Alan Hatcher, 57, of Bethany, was admitted to Mercy in Kingfisher in stable condition with head, arm, leg and internal body injuries.
At about 1:38 p.m., a northbound 2008 Honda CRV driven by Brandi Nault, 34, of Elk City, slowed for traffic ahead on U.S. 81 at Stride Road just outside Kingfisher city limits. Wagner was also driving north behind Nault in a 2013 Fiat 500 and struck Nault’s vehicle, according to OHP.
Nault and her two passengers, a 4-year-old juvenile male and a 2-year-old juvenile female, were not injured in the collision.
OHP listed the conditions of both drivers as “apparently normal” and named the cause of collision as “inattentive driving.”
Seat belts were equipped and in use by all occupants in both vehicles, according to the report; appropriate child restraint systems were also in use by the juvenile passengers.
