ENID, Okla. — The polling place for Precinct 308 has been changed, Michael Frisbie, Garfield County Election Board secretary, said.

Voters in Precinct 308, which includes parts of Enid and the town of Carrier, previously voted at Carrier Congregational Church. Beginning with the school board primary election scheduled for Feb. 11, 2020, the polling place for Precinct 308 will be at Grace Mennonite Church, 4006 N. Oakwood, at the intersection of Oakwood and Purdue.

Frisbie said the election board decided to move the polling location due to safety concerns.

“Safety is a priority for us. After an internal audit, we have determined that the previous location is not ADA compliant and, therefore, does not meet required standards," he said. "We want to ensure that all voters are able to vote at their polling place on election day, without worrying about their personal safety.”

New voter registration cards are being sent out to affected voters.
