Police have arrested an Enid man after a 27-year-old woman said he broke into her apartment, kidnapped her and raped her several times early Thursday.

Michael P. Willson, 28, was booked into Garfield County Detention Facility on complaints of first-degree rape, first-degree burglary and kidnapping, according to Enid Police Department.

The woman reported to police about 1:40 p.m. Thursday she and Willson, whom she called as “an acquaintance,” were at his apartment in central Enid Wed-nesday having a few drinks.

She said she left Willson’s apartment about 12:45 a.m. Thursday and went alone to her apartment in the same complex.

The woman said she was sleeping but awoke and saw Willson standing over her.

Willson tied the woman’s hands, placed a cover over her face and forced her out of the apartment and made her walk to a vacant apartment in the same complex, according to police.

Willson, armed with a meat cleaver, told the woman he would “cut her lips off is she screamed,” according to police.

Police said the woman told them he raped her several times before she was able to escape,. Willson remained in the vacant apartment, the release states.

Police said detectives interviewed Willson and located evidence on his clothes as well as evidence of the attack and rape in the vacant apartment.

Willson was out of jail on $5,000 bond in connection with attempted first-degree burglary from a Jan. 1 incident, according to online court documents.

Willson had been released Nov. 22, 2006, from prison, according to Oklahoma Depart-ment of Corrections.

He has two previous felony convictions for first-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
