There will be no school Monday for the Labor Day holiday, but school will resume Tuesday with regular schedules and bus routes.

The junior high football team will travel to Hennessey, along with grades 5-6, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Quarter Back Club meeting is 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.

Okeene School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school.

The Okeene senior high football team will host Mooreland at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Okeene first grade classes, along with their teachers, are hosting a grandparent tea from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday.


Charlie and Reuben's Restaurant was sold this past month to Stacy and Tabbitha McCollum, after 25 years in service. T-Mac's is open for business. The noon buffet still will offer pizza, along with 15 different menu items. Regular hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Stacy is a former graduate of Okeene High School and the son of Don and Linda McCollum.

The Okeene Boy Scouts received a new equipment trailer, donated to them by local churches and families. The trailer will be used to haul gear and equipment on scout outings.
