WATONGA, Okla. — A Hinton man was hospitalized Tuesday with injuries suffered in an accident involving two semis in Blaine County.
Terry Lee Smith, 58, was admitted to St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City in stable condition with head, arm, trunk and leg injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 2:46 p.m. at the junction of Oklahoma 3 and U.S. 270 about 9 miles west of Watonga.
According to the report, Smith was driving a 2015 Mack semi east on U.S. 270 when he hit a 2015 Freightliner driven by Abel Rodicio, 35, of Tampa, Fla. Rodicio was stopped at a stop sign on Oklahoma 3 and pulled out to head west on U.S. 270 when the collision occurred.
Rodicio was treated at Okeene Hospital and released.
The condition of both drivers is listed as under investigation, as is the cause of the accident, according to the report.
