ENID, Okla. — Yoga, meditation, massage, essential oils and medicinal cannabis are some of the alternative wellness options that will be on display 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Government Springs Park, during the first Flower Fest.

Tammy Wilson, of Enid Event Co., said the alternative wellness event is meant to give people an opportunity to "check out other options for wellness" and healthy lifestyles.

Green Seed Cannabis Co. of Enid is the title sponsor for the event and will be on hand to answer questions about how to obtain a medical marijuana card and about the medical cannabis industry in general.

"It has become a big industry, and it is something people are more and more aware of," Wilson said of medical marijuana, "and we want people to be educated about it."

But, Wilson said, the event isn't just about medical marijuana.

"We want to promote not just physical wellness, but mental wellness also, and self-care in general," she said. "And overall, people don't know about some of the other options, so this puts it all in one place."

A masseuse will be at the event Saturday, along with vendors and practitioners to discuss yoga, oils, meditation, art and more. Marijuana dispensaries, growers and CBD vendors also will be represented.

The event is free and open to the public.
