At 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, the Enid Fire Department responded to a fire in an unoccupied structure at 3219 N. 5th.

The building was used for storage, Fire Marshal Ken Helms said, and was “packed” with books, clothing and boxes; the building did not have electricity and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The building was a total loss, as well as the contents, Helms said.

The fire spread to a detached garage, also unoccupied and used for storage, which was damaged, he said.
