PERRY, Okla. — Two Enid residents were injured Tuesday night in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 near Perry.

Nancy Jiminez, 29, was taken to Perry Hospital, then transferred to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, where she was admitted in stable condition with head and arm injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Ernesto Silva, 40, was treated at Perry Hospital and released.

The accident happened at 9:48 p.m. on Interstate 35 just north of U.S. 412 in Noble County.

According to the report, Silva and Jiminez were passengers in a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by Jessica Silva, 19, of Austin, Texas. Jessica Silva was northbound on Interstate 35 and attempted to exit at the U.S. 412 westbound loop. The vehicle went off the road to the left and hit a culvert. Jessica Silva also was treated at Perry Hospital and released.

The report lists her condition as tired and the cause of the accident as "speed greater than reasonable and proper." Both Silvas were wearing seat belts, but Jiminez was not, according to the report.
