El Reno woman dies in accident

WATONGA, Okla. — One person was killed Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, in an accident near Watonga in Blaine County.

Shea Dawn Wilson, 50, of El Reno, was pronounced dead at the scene of head and trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. Her body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.

The accident happened at 12:12 p.m. at the junction of U.S. 270 and Oklahoma 58, about 9 miles west of Watonga.

According to the report, Wilson was driving a 2018 International east on U.S. 270 when she approached the intersection and took abrupt evasive action and overturned one-quarter time onto the passenger side. Lacinda Clearay Willis, 57, of Watonga, was in a 2004 Ford Freestar and was stopped at the intersection. She was not injured.

Willis was wearing a seat belt, but Wilson was not, according to the report. Wilson was partially ejected.
