ENID, Okla. — This spring, Garfield County Republic Women Club will sponsor a $500 college scholarship for a graduating female high school senior who is a resident of Garfield County attending any Garfield County high school or home schooled in Garfield County.

Applications may be obtained by contacting high school counselors or by emailing the club at gcrw.scholarship@gmail.com, requesting the application.

Each year, along with academic information, school and community activities, leadership roles, awards and references, applicants are asked to respond to an essay question. The question for the 2020 scholarship application is: “Do you believe there has been an imbalance between the three branches of the government (executive, judicial, legislative)?"

Applicants have been asked to defend their position with examples to the essay question. Scholarship applications are due by March 30.

For more information, contact the Scholarship Committee at the cub email address listed above.
