ENID, Okla. — One juvenile is in the hospital after a shooting Monday afternoon at Cherokee Terrace Apartments.
Enid Police and Fire departments and Life EMS responded to multiple calls at 3:19 p.m. about a shooting in the 700 block of East Cherokee.
Sgt. Brian Hart said a juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by private vehicle to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center by the time officers arrived at the scene, because of the proximity of the hospital to the crime scene.
The suspect or suspects possibly left the scene in a vehicle, Hart said, but details are not clear at this point. Officers are canvassing the area for more information.
Hart encouraged anyone with information to call the Enid Police at (580) 233-6233, or anonymously text tips to 274637 —just type “Enid” and the message in the text box.
