Victory Road Live! features former UFC fighter, familiar wrestlers

ENID, Okla. — Victory Road Live! this Saturday in Enid will feature some wrestlers familiar to fans, as well as one former UFC fighter making his company debut.

World Class Pro Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling are teaming up for the show, set for 7 p.m. at the Stride Bank Center in Enid.

Jerry Bostic, CEO of World Class Pro Wrestling, says two wrestlers familiar to WWE fans will fight for the World Class Heavyweight Championship: Chavo Guerrero Jr. and MVP.

Other matches include Kiera Hogan vs. Desiderata, Moose vs. Stephan Bonnar, The North vs. Swann & Fuego Del Sol, Sami Callihan vs. Hawk, Taya Valkyrie vs. Rosemary, TJP vs. Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards vs. Rohit Raju.

Moose and Bonnar are two notable names, Bostic said.

“Moose was an NFL player, and he left the NFL to pursue professional wrestling,” he said.

Bonnar will be a name familiar to UFC fans. Nicknamed “The American Psycho,” Bonnar compiled a 15-9 record with three KO/TKO and seven submission victories, according to MMA site Sherdog. His 2005 fight with Forrest Griffin was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Bostic said IMPACT is in the upper echelon of top wrestling companies in the U.S., with World Class Pro Wrestling one of the biggest in the South. Still, Bostic said, there’s a difference between them and a bigger company, like WWE.

“Our events are so personable,” he said. “You are going to get to meet all the stars, take pictures with all the stars ... you can’t do that at a WWE show.”

Tickets for Victory Road Live! start at $17, with ringside seats $62. Tickets are $7 for military and children 12 and under. A $102 VIP package includes front row seats, a meet-and-greet, photo and VIP lanyard.

“Wrestling is like watching a live action movie; you better believe there’s going to be lots of hard hitting, lots of special moments. Everybody aims to tear the house down, and that’s what we’re going to do,” Bostic said.
