Christmas in the Park returning to Meadowlake on Saturday

Lights glisten on a Christmas tree and the Meadowlake Park Ferris wheel during Christmas in the Park.

ENID, Okla. — The city of Enid’s Christmas in the Park returns to Meadowlake Park on Saturday.

Saturday’s event, hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department, will be 6-9 p.m. and is the first of four dates — all on Saturdays — for Christmas in the Park this year. The other dates are Dec. 7, 14 and 21.

Guests at the park will be greeted by one of several holiday and winter characters, including Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, elves, reindeers and Frosty. There will be food, entertainment, free pictures with Santa, a cookie decoration station, letters to Santa and an ornament making station.

The event is free for all ages; however, several of Enid Kiwanis Club rides also will be open at the park, including the toddler airplanes, toddler cars, carousel and Kiwanitrain train for a small fee.

Parking will be available at GEFCO and Cash Saver. Enid Transit will pick up people and drop them off from those areas.
