ENID, Okla. — Leonardo’s Children’s Museum, 200 E. Maple, will host a children’s ‘Aviation Day’ on Saturday.
The aviation-themed day at the museum will be during Leonardo’s regular hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.
“There will be so many exciting activities available to families looking for educational fun,” according to an event press release. “Leonardo’s will be doing all things aviation.”
Entry to the event is general admission, with no extra charge for museum members.
Activities will include science demonstrations and the StarLab, which is an igloo-like lab that projects the planets and constellations for children to see and learn about space.
Flight paintings, paper airplanes and “all sorts of aviation crafts to be made” also are planned, according to the press release.
Leonardo’s is partnering with Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center for this event, according to the press release, “to provide many activities for families and encourage them to visit both museums.”
“There will be rocks painted with aviation themes and kids can find them throughout the two museums,” according to the press release. “Once the rocks are found, kids may bring them to the front desk at Leonardo’s for a small surprise.”
Leonardo’s is located on the corner of Maple and 2nd. For more information, call (580) 233-ARTS, visit www.leonardos.org or follow Leonardo’s on social media.
