ENID, Okla. — Forgotten Ministries will host a special Independence Day celebration, beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Don Haskins Park, 515 E. Maine.

Peggy Grisham, with Forgotten Ministries, said the patriotic-themed event is an extension of the ministry’s weekly meal in the park, with some extra features to celebrate Independence Day.

The evening’s activities will include free hot dogs, hamburgers and watermelon. The basketball courts will be open for games, and the Forgotten Ministries clothing truck will be on site to provide clothes to anyone in need.

The Forgotten Ministries weekly meal in the park and Independence Day celebration are hosted in conjunction with Your Family Church.

I am a retired Naval Officer and small business owner, outside of my work at the News & Eagle. My wife Tammy and I enjoy serving together at church and attending Gaslight and ESO. We have two daughters, three dogs and little free time.
