Library to host several 12-week classes

Public Library of Enid and Garfield County.

ENID, Okla. — Members of the public are invited to decorate a pumpkin and put it on display at Public Library of Enid and Garfield County.

The library is hosting it second annual pumpkin decorating contest this month, and will accept pumpkins Oct. 7-21. Those participating are asked to decorate the pumpkin as a children's book character or with a fall theme.

The pumpkins will be judged by the public in three categories: Most Literary, Most Creative and Best Overall. Winners will be announced Oct. 30. Carved pumpkins will not be accepted.

Pumpkins will be photographed and on display at the library's Facebook page, as well.
