Perkins (1-0) at Chisholm (0-1) -- The Longhorns will try to recover from last week's 34-6 loss to Perry. Chisholm gave up 450 yards rushing in that game. The Demons shut out Prague 32-0 in their opener last week. Perkins beat Chisholm 43-6 last season. The Longhorns lead the series 6-3.

Oklahoma Bible Academy (0-0, 1-0) at Cherokee (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District B-1 opener for both teams. Cherokee broke a 12-game losing streak last week, upsetting Medford 8-6. OBA is coming off a 38-0 rout of Waynoka. The Trojans won last year's game 41-8 and lead the series 3-1.

Morrison (0-0, 1-0) at Pioneer (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District B-1 opener for both teams. The game is expected to decide the district championship as it did last year when Morrison won 36-8. The Wildcats lead the series 4-3. Pioneer has won 12 straight home games. Pioneer shut out Alex 38-0 in its season opener, while Morrison beat Buffalo 54-18.

Waukomis (0-0, 1-0) at Cashion (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District B-1 opener for both teams. The Chiefs broke a four-game losing streak to the Wildcats with a 27-12 win last season. Cashion leads the series 8-6. Wildcats quarterback Anthony Cavazos scored twice in a 40-8 rout of Geary last week. Waukomis quarterback Cody Gragg accounted for three scores in a 46-0 win over Kremlin-Hillsdale last week.

Garber (0-0, 0-1) at Yale (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District B-1 opener for both teams. Garber began the 2005 season the same way it ended 2004 -- by being shut out. The Wolverines managed only 107 yards rushing on 38 carries in a 14-0 loss to Covington-Douglas. Yale opened the season by beating Depew 26-0. Garber won the first meeting between the two teams 20-12 a year ago. The Wolverines won that game despite 103 total yards.

Kremlin-Hillsdale (0-0, 0-1) at Covington-Douglas (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District C-3 opener for both teams. The Wildcats are coming off their first-ever shutout of Garber (14-0). Covington-Douglas is trying to be 2-0 for the first time since 1999. Matt Lee threw for a touchdown against Garber, while Jason Jetton scored on a 91-yard run. The Broncs are trying to break an 11-game losing streak over two seasons. Covington-Douglas has won the last four meetings, including 50-0 last season.The Wildcats lead the series 20-17 since 1970.


Harrah (0-1) at Woodward (0-1) -- Woodward is trying to avoid its fourth straight 0-2 start after losing its opener to El Reno 31-13 last week. The Boomers managed only 65 yards in head coach Scott Myers' debut. The Panthers lost to Bethany 31-16 last week. Woodward leads the series 4-2 since 1991, but Harrah won last year's game 20-17.

Watonga (1-0) at Kingfisher (0-1) -- Watonga recorded its 15th straight opening-game win last week by beating Blackwell 23-6. Kingfisher had its 21-game regular season winning streak broken by Piedmont 14-7. The Yellowjackets threw for 250 yards but scored only once -- a 7-yard pass from Phillip Parcell to Cale Myers. Watonga is trying to start 2-0 for the first time since 1998. Kingfisher has won the last four meetings, including 48-21 last season. Watonga leads the series 20-13 since 1970.

Blackwell (0-1) at Alva (1-0) -- Alva is trying to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2002. The Goldbugs opened the season by beating Seiling 39-12 last week. Blackwell fell to Watonga 23-6. Blackwell leads the series 8-5 since 1978, but Alva won last year's game 41-0.

Fairview (0-1) at Thomas (0-1) -- Thomas is trying to avoid back-to-back 0-2 starts after losing to powerful Washington 20-0 last week. The Yellowjackets are trying to avoid an 0-2 start as well after being beaten by Tonkawa 35-0 last week. Fairview won a 20-14 overtime thriller at home last year. Thomas leads the series 11-4. Fairview hasn't won at Thomas since 1983.

Crescent (1-0) at Hennessey (0-1) -- The homestanding Eagles will try to come back from a 14-0 loss to Okeene, while the visiting Tigers are riding a 33-12 win over Newkirk. Crescent won last year's game 14-8. Hennessey leads the series 11-5 since 1980, but Crescent has won the last two meetings -- 13-0 in 1999 and 14-8 last season.

Laverne (1-0) at Cordell (1-0) -- Laverne's 12-0 win over Sayre marked its first season opening win since 2001. It was the first time Laverne shut out an opponent since blanking Texhoma 27-0 on Oct. 27, 2001. Cordell is coached by Bruce Hendrickson, the state's all-time winningest high school coach. Cordell beat Laverne 36-0 last season.

Mooreland (1-0) at Okeene (1-0) -- Okeene quarterback Brady Wardlaw ran for one score and passed for another in a 14-6 win over Hennessey last week. Mooreland's Fletcher Jacquez put on a one-man show in a 24-6 rout of Community Christian, scoring on a 35-yard run, a 20-yard pass from Brett Thomas and a 40-yard field goal. The Bearcats had 320 yards in total offense and only one turnover. Okeene leads the series 21-4 since 1972, but the Bearcats have won two of the last three meetings -- 13-7 in 1999 and 23-9 in 2001.

Mangum (0-1) at Seiling (0-1) -- Both teams will try to come back from opening-game losses ? Seiling 39-12 to Alva and Mangum 26-12 to Hobart. Seiling is trying to avoid its first 0-2 start since 2002. Mangum replaces Canton as the second game on the Wildcats' schedule.


Balko (0-0, 1-0) at Buffalo (0-0, 0-1) -- It s the District C-1 opener for both teams. Buffalo has won the last five meetings. The most points Balko has scored against Buffalo over that time was 14 points. Balko leads the series 11-8 since 1984.

Shattuck (0-0, 1-0) at Ringwood (0-0, 1-0) -- It is the District C-1 opener for both teams. Shattuck, a 58-12 winner over Boise City last week, has won 28 straight. Ringwood's Zac Thompson ran for three scores and Ross Richert had three sacks in the Red Devils' 24-6 win over Deer Creek-Lamont last week. Shattuck won last year's game, 44-0.

Sharon-Mutual (0-0, 1-0) at Waynoka (0-0, 0-1) -- It is the District C-1 opener for both teams. Sharon-Mutual is coming off a 50-0 win over Merritt. That was the most points by a Trojans team since a 54-6 win over Goodwell in the 10th game of the 2000 season. Waynoka will try to come back from a 38-0 loss to OBA. The Rails will be without head coach Jake Allen, who was deployed to New Orleans with his National Guard unit. Waynoka has won the last four meetings, including 49-28 last season. The Rails lead the series 20-6 since 1978.

Davenport (0-0, 1-0) at DCLA (0-0, 0-1) -- The Eagles will try to avenge last year's 24-14 loss to the Bulldogs in the District C-3 opener for both teams. DCLA suffered a 24-6, opening loss to Ringwood. Cody Darling scored DCLA's lone touchdown on a 2-yard run. Davenport, the defending district champion, beat Oklahoma Christian Academy 46-18 for their 11th straight regular season win.

Pond Creek-Hunter (0-0, 0-1) at Shidler (0-0, 0-1) -- It is the District C-3 opener for both teams. The visiting Panthers were held to 86 yards rushing on 39 carries in a 28-12 loss to Timberlake last week. Mark Frieouf threw for a score and ran for another. Shidler lost to Copan 40-12 last week. Pond Creek-Hunter leads the series 3-1, including a 36-22 win last week.

Canton (1-0) at Duke (0-1) -- Canton made a successful 8-man debut by beating Kiefer 32-7 last week. Duke lost to Mountain View-Gotebo 40-16 last week. Canton is trying to be 2-0 for the first time since 1998.
