A Tulsa County jury has recommended life in prison without the possibility parole for a man it convicted of child-abuse murder in the death of his niece in Glenpool.
The panel also found David Bridgeman guilty Friday of child neglect in the May death of 21-month-old Adriana Hernandez and recommended life with parole.
Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office reported Adriana's death was caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
According to an affidavit, Bridgeman became angry while he was trying to "potty train" Adriana. He allegedly struck the child and threw her across the room and onto the floor.
Bridgeman's attorney, Everett Bennett, didn't immediately return a message left Saturday seeking comment.
His co-defendant, Paula Najar, pleaded guilty to child neglect.
