ENID, Okla. — Halloween party is Sat.

The Homeplace Country Estate will hold a grand-opening Halloween party for ages 21 and older at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Cost is $10 per person and includes food and soft drinks, country/rock DJ and a dance floor. There also will be a costume contest with prizes.

Doors will open at 8, and the music starts playing at 9.

The estate is located 1 mile south and 11⁄4 miles east of Meno on Country Road 272.

Play starts Thursday

Garber Community Theater will present “Mischief in the Magnolias,” a melodrama and dinner theater, Nov. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10. Doors open at 6:30 and dinner will be served at 7. Reservations are required. For reservations, call Sandy at 548-4861.

Opera coming to Enid

Tulsa Opera will perform Marcus DeLoach’s “Mooch the Messy” for students in area schools on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The troupe will perform at 10 a.m. at Glenwood Elementary and 1 p.m. at McKinley Elementary on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the troupe will perform at 9 a.m. at Cherokee Elementary in Cherokee and at 1 p.m. at Monore Elementary in Enid.
