What's 2 Do in Enid, area this weekend

ENID, Okla. — Home for the Holidays Enid Home Show

9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W. Purdue

Contractors and crafters alike will fill Chisholm Trail Expo Center this weekend for the annual Home for the Holidays Enid Home Show.

The event, hosted by Enid Home Builders Association, includes crafts, small-business vendors, Christmas shopping opportunities and a home show.

More than 50 craft and gift vendors will be on hand. Vendors’ goods will include toys, jewelry, women’s and children’s clothing, handmade wood crafts,

furniture and products from local wineries.

Additionally, home products like furniture, mattresses, spas and saunas also will be on display. Admission to the show is $2. Children 12 and under will

Santa’s Showcase Craft Show

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Hoover Building, 305 E. Oxford

Get more of your Christmas shopping done earlier this year at Santa’s Showcase Craft Show, this Saturday at the Hoover Building on Garfield County Fairgrounds.

The show typically features crafters from a four-state region. Shoppers will be able to purchase their favorite crafts and other holiday items. Also, Blue Star Mothers will be providing chicken noodle soup and other lunch items for purchase.

Focus: Candy Cane Cash drawing is Dec. 15

The citywide shopping event that began Oct. 29 will culminate in a drawing for $10,000 in cash on Dec. 15 on the downtown Square.

Candy Cane Cash is an annual event meant to promote local shopping and keeping money in the local economy.

Shoppers can earn tickets by buying at local businesses. The tickets then are put into a drawing for five cash prizes: one for $5,000, one for $2,000, one for $1,000 and two for $500.

Participating businesses include Ace Hardware, AE Howard Flooring, Avon Beauty center, Basket Kase, Bell Jewelers, Big Country Meat Market, Blaze’s BBQ, CC Coins, Chick-fil-A, Cook’s Bargain, Debbie’s Boutique/Enid Superlube, Ediger’s Diamonds, Galaxy Mattress, Garfield Furniture, Gift Box, Golf USA, Grand Avenue Lighting, Jumbo Foods, Medic Pharmacy, Midwest Music, MotoPhoto, Napoli’s, Okie Joe’s, Our Family Pet Shop, Oxford Cleaners, Park Avenue Thrift, Patricia’s Boutique, Pioneer Cellular, Save A Lot, Schieber’s Donuts, Stuart Nissan, Sun Loan Co., The Tanning Club, Tiger Pawn, T Shirt Store, United Supermarkets, Way Out West, Western Sizzlin and Wheat Capital Running Co.
