Corvette Expo XXII

9 a.m. Saturday, Chisholm Trail Expo Center

More than 100 Corvettes will be on display at Corvette Expo XXII Saturday in Enid.

The show will be 9 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. at Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W. Purdue.

Registration is $30 per vehicle, and awards will be presented in several categories, including President’s Choice, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine and Best of Show. There also will be door prizes and a silent auction.

Admission to this year’s event is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 12.

Sara Davis Buechner with Enid Symphony Orchestra

8 p.m. Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday, Enid Symphony Hall

Pianist Sara Davis Buechner will perform with Enid Symphony Orchestra Saturday and Sunday.

The world-renowned musician will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Symphony Hall, located at 301 W. Broadway in downtown Enid.

Ticket prices start at $15 and may be purchased online at or by phone at (580) 237-9646.

Buechner’s performances of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, K. 503, will mark the conclusion of the 2013-14 ESO Subscription series.


First Friday

6-9 p.m. tonight, Downtown Enid

Downtown Enid will be abuzz with activity tonight during First Friday, Main Street Enid’s monthly celebration of local business, music and art.

There are myriad activities going on downtown tonight, but tonight will be extra special because it’s Free Art Friday.

Prior to tonight’s event, local artists received a record to create art on, and those records will be hidden around downtown for anyone to take home and enjoy. Residents are asked to take only one per family.

Aside from Free Art Friday, stores downtown will have specials and host a variety of music performances.
