ENID — Tops in Blue

6:30 p.m. Tuesday

Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W. Purdue

Air Force performers will take the stage Tuesday evening to perform song and dance numbers for their annual show, Tops in Blue.

Chisholm Trail Expo Center will host the show, which will start at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30. The show is open to the public with no admission fee.

This year, Tops in Blue will include pop, country and patriotic music, featuring hits from artists such as The Doobie Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Earth Wind & Fire, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum and Whitney Houston.

The performance will feature 35 active-duty Air Force members led by Capt. Ashley Elmore, of Ellsworth AFB.

Air Force personnel worldwide compete for a spot in the Tops in Blue group every year. Each year, 35-40 men and women are chosen to tour the United States and the world.

Dog Days of Summer

8-11 a.m. Saturday

Enid Farmers Market, Grand and Garriott

While some may call this time of year the Dog Days of Summer, it will be exactly that on Saturday at Enid Farmers Market.

Dog Days of Summer is one of the farmers market’s biggest events of the year. On Saturday, people are invited to bring their dogs while they browse local fruits, vegetables and other local items.

Saturday’s event will feature several animal-related activities, including a pet costume contest. The winner of the contest will receive a doggie gift basket.

Also, Enid Animal Control will bring dogs available for adoption, and Enid Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will make and sell dog tags.

Live music at the farmers market will be provided by Eddie Kelley.

First Friday

6 p.m. today

Downtown Enid

A number of activities are scheduled for tonight’s First Friday event, when local businesses will be open late and have a variety of activities and music to choose from.

Of note:

• Angel Delight Bakery & Eatery will feature the “Grand Master of Surprises,” Magic Al, from 6-7 p.m., followed by guitarist Jason Taylor. There will be additional music in the courtyard, featuring The Power and singer/guitarist Miss Kylie Kliewer. Food also will be available, and all proceeds will go toward the effort to bring a Vietnam Memorial Wall replica to Enid.

• Callahan’s Pub will feature live music by Big Blue Dump Truck, starting at 9 p.m.

• Public Library of Enid and Garfield County will host Dog Days. People may bring well-behaved pets to the library 5-8 p.m. Treats will be provided while the library shows dog-themed movies.

• Gaslight Theatre, 221 N. Independence, will have Cabaret Night at 8 p.m., featuring performances from Kyla Willingham, Janet Jones, Rynn Miller Day, Jonathan Suttmiller and Chelsea Hunter.

Coin, Token and Collectibles Show

Today, Saturday and Sunday

Garfield County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 111 W. Purdue

Exchange your coins, tokens and other collectibles this weekend at Enid’s August Coin, Token and Collectibles Show.

The show will be 12-6 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Pavilion at Garfield County Fairgrounds.

It is sponsored by CC Coins, 813 W. Maine.

TNA Impact Wrestling

7:30 p.m. today

Chisholm Trail Expo Center, 111 W. Purdue

TNA’s Impact Wrestling World Tour invades Enid tonight at Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

Tonight’s show will include wrestling superstars like Bobby Roode, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, James Storm and more.

Tickets are $20, $27 or $50 and can be purchased at, or by calling the expo center box office at (580) 237-0238.

Doors will open at 6:30.

Those who purchase a $50 ticket will have access to a meet-and-greet session with wrestlers.

Tour de Trykes, tour at 7:30 a.m. and criterium race at 6:30 p.m., downtown Enid. Downtown streets will close at 3 p.m. for the criterium.
