If you’re looking to do a bit of local shopping and have fun doing it, stop by downtown Enid tonight for January First Friday.
Local shops such as B Hip Kids, Downtown Kitchen Store and Turquoise Boutique will all be open tonight. Additionally, a number of stores will have a variety of special events, such as 2nd Story Downtown, which will be serving up hot apple cider and specials.
If you’re out shopping and get hungry, don’t forget to stop by downtown restaurants, such as Callahan’s Pub and PaneVino.

Coming soon: Hennessey Hootenanny kicks off its 11th season
There’s plenty to do around Enid in January, but don’t forget to make your way down to Hennessey next week and check out the Hennessey Hometown Hootenanny. The 11th season kicks off at 7 p.m. Jan 11 at the Hennessey Library Auditorium, 525 S. Main.
The January event will feature Jarod Cross of Okeene, Sierra Sikes of Choctaw, Kayleigh Jones of Edmond, Tristan Hill and Karina Orozco of Hennessey, and Vonnie Chestnut of Dover. Buck Goucher will close the show playing some of his hits.
Admission is $4 for adults and $1 for children. Refreshments will be available at intermission.
Open mic starts at 6:30 p.m. that night.
