What's 2 Do in Enid this weekend

Relay for Life

Beginning 7 tonight

Garfield County Court House lawn

Join cancer survivors and those remembering their loved ones tonight at Relay for Life of Garfield County.

The event will start at 7 p.m. tonight and continue through 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Tonight, survivors will be honored, and there will be music, games, an auction and food for sale.

Many participants are organized in teams. The goal is for one member of each team to be walking around the track at all times. Later, a ceremony will occur, which will honor all those who have lost their lives to cancer.

'Children of Eden'

Central Christian Church will present a children’s musical to raise funds to send church youth to church-sponsored events.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. June 1-2 and 3 p.m. June 3.

Champlin Pool

Opening 1 p.m. Tuesday

400 W. Cherokee

The kids are out of school and summer is fast approaching, which means it must be time for Champlin pool to open.

The pool will open at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Regular hours for the summer are 1-6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $2.50. It is free for children 5 and under.

Season passes are available through the city clerk’s office. Private parties can be booked through Terry Boling in the pool manager’s office.

First Friday

Downtown Enid

Bask in the sounds of music and have some fun tonight during First Friday in downtown Enid.

The event, hosted by Main Street Enid, is scheduled for the first Friday of every month. Throughout the evening, local musicians perform at downtown restaurants, and some businesses are open late to accommodate extra shoppers.

Tonight’s entertainment includes live music at Blue Jay’s Barber Shop & Beauty Bar, The Felt Bird, For You! Boutique and Angel Delight Bakery and Eatery.

Cafe Garcia also will have live music, and Blissful Bows Boutique will celebrate its grand opening.

Public Library of Enid and Garfield County will be open until 8 p.m., and Creative Arts Enid will have a knitting demonstration as well as live music.
