Focus: Kite convention arrives in Oct.
American Kitefliers Association is holding their 2012 convention Oct. 1-6 right here in Enid.
On Oct. 1, the convention will begin with a showing of an Indian kite movie at 2:30 p.m. at Autry Technology Center.
The next day, kites will take to the skies behind Autry. A variety of workshops, competitions and challenges will be held through Oct. 6.
Additionally, giant-sized kites, including ones more than 100 feet long, will fill the sky, and kitefliers will perform choreographed to music.
