The Lost Ogle wants papers from Fallin's office

OKLAHOMA CITY — Attorneys for the satirical news website The Lost Ogle are asking an Oklahoma County judge to force Gov. Mary Fallin to turn over documents the governor's office claims are privileged.

In a motion for summary judgment filed on Monday, the Oklahoma chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union asked District Judge Barbara Swinton to order disclosure and the right of inspection to documents the governor is withholding from the public.

Through her general counsel, Steve Mullins, Fallin has said her office withheld 31 documents consisting of 100 pages of materials they maintain are "privileged" and therefore exempt from Oklahoma's Open Records Act.

The Lost Ogle joined with several news organizations, including The Associated Press, in a request for documents from the governor's office connected to the federal health care law.
