OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police have released the name of man who officers say shot and killed himself after leading police on a high-speed chase from Oklahoma City to Norman.
Police said Wednesday that 31-year-old Juddson Daniel Fanning killed himself after crashing the car he was driving into another car in Norman.
Capt. Dexter Nelson says Fanning was wanted for assault and battery when Oklahoma City officers spotted him. Nelson says Fanning then led officers on the chase at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour along Interstate 35 into Norman.
Nelson says Fanning exited I-35 in Norman and collided with another car, then shot himself as armed officers approached him on foot.
Two people in the car Fanning crashed into were treated and released at a local hospital.
