TAHLEQUAH, Okla. —
Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man last week after finding him walking down the middle of the road.
Jesse Alan Beavers, 21, of Tahlequah, was booked for public intoxication and unlawful possession of a concealed weapon. Beavers allegedly smelled of alcohol when he was walking down the road and had a machete stuffed into the back of his pants. Beavers allegedly told deputies he had the machete to protect himself from dogs as he was walking.
