Woodmen hold event for area fire department

ENID, Okla. — Members of Enid Modern Woodmen held a hog roast and auction fundraiser July 13 for Pioneer Skeleton Creek Fire Department.

The fundraising event netted $8,966.26, which includes $2,500 matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s Matching Fund program.

The money raised will be used for equipment.

The Matching Fund program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show support for a community cause, organization or individual in need by holding fundraiser.

Modern Woodmen matches money raised up to $2,500

These fundraising projects contribute more than $6.5 million to community needs nationwide each year.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, chapters provide opportunities to connect through social activities and volunteer projects.
