OKLAHOMA CITY —
Authorities say a man found dead in his home in Oklahoma City was a retired physician who’d had a history of run-ins with law enforcement.
Police say 58-year-old Deepak Bhasin called 911 on Tuesday night and said he’d been attacked. Authorities say Bhasin was dead in his home when emergency responders arrived.
No suspects have been identified and his cause of death has not been released.
The Oklahoman reports that Bhasin maintained a YouTube channel called “Stop Police Harassment,” which included 14 videos. The newspaper reported that Bhasin also ran a website called Stop Police Brutality in Oklahoma City.
Police reports show that Bhasin had been arrested by police at least five times on misdemeanor complaints between 1996 and 2012.
