Sooners land another four-star recruit

NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma’s 2015 recruiting class swelled with another commitment from a consensus four-star recruit.

Katy, Texas, running back Rodney Anderson became the fifth four-star recruit to give his verbal pledge to the Sooners on Sunday.

Anderson (6-foot-1, 205 pounds) is’s No. 80 overall player, No. 3 running back and 11th best player in Texas. ranks him as the 263rd best player in the Class of 2015.

The list of offers for the Katy High School senior-to-be was lengthy. He held offers from Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Michigan State, Texas and recently de-committed from Texas A&M.

Anderson joins Pflugerville (Henderson High School), Texas, cornerback P.J. Mbanasor; Jenks defensive tackle Marquise Overton; Allen, Texas, offensive tackle Bobby Evans and Dallas South Oak Cliff safety Jamile Johnson as four-star recruits that have verbally pledged to sign with OU in February.
