Enid volleyers sweep Lawton

ENID, Okla. — Chloe Cordell had 13 kills, five aces and one dig in leading Enid’s volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-14) sweep of Lawton at Waller Middle School Friday.

Shaylyn Vaughn had four kills, four aces and one dig for the Pacers, who raised their record to 21-10.

Other EHS stats included McKenna James, one kill, two blocks and four aces; Taylor Smith, seven kills and one dig; Taylor Foster, four aces; Sarah Blakley, three kills, two blocks, one ace and one dig; Ashton Halper, one kill and one dig; Katrina Blom, one dig; and Camille Cohlmia, one kill and one ace.

The Pacers missed only three serves on the day.

“We went out and played well,’’ said Enid coach Steve Bloom. “We played good defense. I hope we can keep up this level of intensity.’’

Enid will host Sapulpa Monday and will visit Deer Creek Edmond Tuesday.
