No. 13 at Meadowlake
Sharon Dillon had a hole-in-one on the par three 120-yard No. 13 hole at Meadowlake Tuesday. She used a three wood. She was playing with Emmie Brown, Joyce Fuller and Rosemary Moyes.
Smart added to USA
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State sophomore Marcus Smart has accepted an invitation to attend the USA Basketball Men’s National Team Mini-Camp, which starts a four-day run Monday in Las Vegas.
He is the only non-NBA player who is scheduled to participate.
“It is a great honor to be invited to participate with the USA Men’s National Team,’’ Smart said in a statement released by the OSU sports information department. “The other players at the mini-camp are NBA professionals who I look up to and respect. I’m excited to learn from them and to compete against them.’’
Smart helped led the USA to the gold medal at the recent FIBA U19 World Championships. He averaged 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field overall.
He will be of 29 players at the camp.
Cowboy cagers to host
Memphis on Nov. 19
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State will host the Memphis Tigers at 6:30 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena Nov. 19 as a non-bracketed game of the Old Spice Classic, it was announced today, The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Cowboys will play Purdue at 11 a.m. on Nov. 28 on ESPN2 in the first round of the bracketed portion of the tournament.
The Cowboys will play either Butler or Washington State Nov. 29 in the semifinals. The finals are scheduled for Dec. 1.
OSU’s Stewart, Moore
on Biletnikoff watch list
STILLWATER (AP) — Two Oklahoma State receivers have been named to the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award.
The award is presented annually to the nation’s top receiver.
The list announced Tuesday includes OSU senior Tracy Moore and junior Josh Stewart.
Moore was injured four games into the 2012 season and is returning for a fifth year at OSU. Stewart is a returning All-Big 12 selection, who had 101 receptions as a sophomore last year.
