ENID, Okla. —
5K run set for Saturday
The Otoe-Missoula Tribe will host the fourth annual Otoe 5K Saturday on the tribal encampment grounds. It’s part of the tribe’s 132nd annual Otoe-Missouria Encampment, which begins a four-day run in Red Rock.
Run coordinator Donnie Childs said participants can run or walk. The biggest goal, he said, “is getting people up off the couch.’’
First-place men’s and women’s winners will receive a Otoe hand drum. The top finishers in each category will receive medals. All participants receive T-shirts and a drawstring bag.
There also will be a Family Fun Run.
Pre-registration is open online at www.EarlySignUp.com/otoerun. Pre-registration is $25 and $30 on the day of the race. For information, contact Childs at (580) 723-4466, ext. 152 or (580) 750-0020.
