ENID, Okla. —
Enid Majors took advantage of five Hutchinson errors to beat the Cardinals 9-7 at David Allen Memorial Ballpark Friday for their eighth straight victory.
Damion Neiswanger got the win in relief. Cole Floyd got his third save of the season.
Junior Obeso was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Brandon Rakestraw scored twice and had an RBI.
Christian Voitik and Brady Kokojan also had RBI for the Majors (16-5).
The Majors and the Cardinals will play at 2 p.m. today. The Majors will host the OKC Bulls at 6 p.m.
The Enid Minors managed only two hits in a 7-1 loss to Hutchinson, Kan., Friday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
The Minors scored their only run in the scond on a RBI double by Tanner Black. Hunter Childs had Enid’s other hit.
Hutchinson scored three in the fourth, two in the second and one in the first and sixth.
“We didn’t play well,’’ said Minors co-coach Zach Gonzales. “They scored a lot of their runs with two outs. That doesn’t help you.’’
The Minors are scheduled to play Hutchinson at noon and the Oklahoma City Bulls at 4 p.m. today.
